Paint Pascagoula #10 Pascagoula Pride

Brenda Kitchens 2014 The “Paint Pascagoula Project” was designed to provide an opportunity for artists to create works of art that contribute to the vitality and attractiveness of Pascagoula’s streetscape. The City is looking for artistic individuals with an appreciation for Pascagoula’s past and future to participate in this meaningful project. Submissions should depict colorful and positive images of Pascagoula’s culture and history that will foster community pride. This project is designed to enhance the streetscape by adding works of art to surfaces that are often targeted by vandalism. Artwork on utility boxes functions as a form of communication to a movin audience with the goal of creating a vibrant, inclusive and interesting urban environment. Successful proposals will foster community pride, discourage graffiti, and convey a sense of Pascagoula.
