The Honor Stone

Erected by the Patriotic Society of Vermont Women In 1909, this stone honors the first "white men" to fortify this island in 1666. For the sacrifice and valor of the Green Mountain Boy's. Montgomery camped near this stone with 1200 men in 1775.
