Moore's Bridge

This grey stone was part of a bridge that was built in 1688, and which crossed Kilmahew Burn that still flows beneath the road here; the stone is now framed within a Victorian restoration of the bridge in red sandstone. The coat of arms is believed to be that of the Montgomery family
