Mount Watatic Public Space Dedication
Ashburnham, United States
Mount Watatic, once a small ski resort in mid 1900s, was slated to become the home of yet another cell tower. Wanting to preserve the public space they had grown to love, the people of the towns of Ashby and Ashburnham, as well as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, raised the millions of dollars necessary to buy the mountain and permanently preserve it as open, public space.
