Bazel and Martha Harrison

Bazil and Martha Harrison are buried in the Harrison cemetery south of this marker.He led a party of 20 one who are the first permanent settlers on Prairie Ronde Kalamazoo County, where they arrive on November 5th, 1828. 1000 people attended his funeral on September 1st, 1874 because he was admired, esteem, respected and loved by all who knew him. Martha stillwill hear it died on June 7th, 1857. Have his wife for 57 years she shared all of this early hardships in later years, success and failures, joys and sorrows and was the mother of 17 children.
