Point Perpendicular Lighthouse

Shoalhaven, Australia

Made of pre-cast 'concrete' blocks using aggregate of local stone. Designed by Charles Assinder Harding. Construction completed in 1898, light operational in 1899.  Decommissioned in 1993 and replaced by automated, solar powered light tower nearby. Now operated annually to celebrate International Lights and Lightships Weekend.  Open weekends. Gates close at sunset. No pets.
