Quezon Monument

The monument, which aims to honor President Manuel Quezon, consists of 3 vertical pylons (representing the 3 main geographic divisions of the country: Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao), 66 meters tall (Quezon's age when he died), surmounted by 3 mourning angels holding sampaguita wreaths sculpted by the italian sculptor Monti. The 3 pylons would in turn circumscribe a drum-like two storey structure containing a gallery from which visitors could look down at Quezon's catafalque.
