Brandeis Athletics Bell
Waltham, United States
This bell was cast by The Henry N. Hooper & Co. Bell Foundry in Boston. Henry Hooper, an apprentice of Paul Revere, ran the foundry from 1830-1868. Their bells were installed in several Massachusetts churches, including the Arlington Street Church in Boston. During Brandeis University's first decade, this bell was rung to announce athletic victories. It serves as a lasting reminder of the University's past and present successes.
