St. Martin's on The Walls

A Grade I listed Scheduled Monument, the Church is built on the Anglo Saxon walls of Wareham at the North entrance. The Present building was built in 1030 on the site of an earlier church destroyed by Cnut the Great. In the North aisle is the stone effigy of TE Lawrence (of Arabia).
