This is the original Laffing Sal which welcomed visitors to the Funhouse at Playland at the Beach in San Francisco. This rare icon of historic amusement parks was purchased by the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in 1972, and now greets (or scares?) guests with nonstop laughing outside the rear entrance of Neptune's Kingdom.
