This replica of the P-47 flown by Major Frank H. Peppers (1919-1992), 377FS, 362FG from mid-1944 to 1945 commemorates the service of members of 9AF in WWII from 1941-1945 on the 50th anniversary of that conflict. Major General Hoyt S. Vandenberg, then 9AF Commander, lauded Major Peppers as the best tactical fighter pilot in his command. "ALL GAVE SOME. SOME GAVE ALL."
