John Bartlett Pierce (June 2, 1844 - June 23, 1917) Born in Embden, Maine, he was an American industrialist who founded the Pierce Steam Heating Company of Buffalo, a forerunner of the American Radiator Company, created from the 1892 merger with the Detroit Radiator Company and Michigan Radiator and Iron Company.
