Heartland Airborne Memorial Assn Inc

This statue portrays a fully laden WWII paratrooper jumping from a C-47 aircraft and into a combat zone below. Although depicting a chapter in the history of the American airborne legend it serves to represent all American airborne Troopers signifying their high morale strict self discipline and unflagging willingness to sacrifice. this memorial stands as a tribute to all American paratroopers of all services alive and dead serving an inactive who have volunteered to put their "knees to the breeze" it reminds those who gaze upon it that they should be thankful that there are American men and women past present and future who stand ready and willing to answer the nations call for airborne forces.
