Old Tenino Bank

Tenino, United States

Built in 1908 and represents the prosperity of the town and the desire to re-build the town's main street with sandstone from the adjacent quarry after the fire which burned this side of the street in 1906. An article at the time of its completion states "the building was constructed by local contractors and workmen. The interior is finished in quarter-sawed oak with marble trimmings..." Built one year after the adjacent Campbell & Campbell building, the State Bank of Tenino matches the architectural detailing of the adjacent building. The bank became the Citizen's Bank of Tenino in 1915.
