The Village Smithy Historical Site

The old blacksmith shop was built about 1870 purchased by emil Koehler, buit second floor in which to make wagons. Edward Hermes aquire the shop in 1960. during rush season put on about 250 shoes a day by hand, repaired wagons, buggies and sleds. In 1940 building was purchased by W. S. small and was torn down.
