Orpington, United Kingdom
The meadow was probably farmed even before the doomsday book. In 1553 Edward VI gave it to St Thomas hospital who owned it for over 400 years. The ancient boundry between Farnborough and Orpington parishes crosses from left to right. The Orpington 1841 tithe map shows this was part of great darrick field where the farmer John western grew arable crops in 1956 it was bought by Kent County council
