Battle of Eutaw Memorial

This stone marks the field where on was fought the Battle of Eutaw, September 8, 1781, between a force of the United States under Major General Nathanel Greene and a force of Great Britain under Colonel Stewart. Neither side was victorious, but the fight was beneficial to the American cause. This memorial erected in 1912 by Eutaw chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution.
