Kayleigh Keeble had never missed a day of school due to sickness which made her sudden and aggressive case of acute lymphoblastic leukemia all the more tragic. In the span of just 12 days a number of complications, such as tumor lysis syndrome, made her one of the most medically complicated cases of cancer in Pacific Northwest history. Kayleigh never got to experience life as a teenager, having turned 13 while in a medically induced coma, and succumbing to her illness 5 days later
