Maharshi Dadhichi was a scientist-saint in Indian history who sacrificed his life (backbone) to fight the rain God Indra. This crossroads is names after him. Kalash is considered auspicious in Hindu ritual. It comprises of a metal pot, coconut and betel leaves.
