Hospital Militar de Belém

HMB was created in 1890, working since in the building of the former Convento da Boa Hora which had been built by the Discalced Augustinian friars in the eighteenth century. In the twentieth century, the hospital specializes in infectious diseases, being transformed in Infectious and Contagious (HMDIC) Military Hospital Disease. In the 1990s, the HMDIC, no longer autonomous, coming under the dependence of the Main Military Hospital, with the designation of "Military Hospital in Bethlehem."
