Robert's and Mander Stove Works
Hatboro, United States
In 1918 the Roberts and Mander stove company of Philadelphia relocated their stove manufacturing to this facility in Hatboro. The building and it's foundry operated until 1950. The company manufactured nationally known gas and electric ranges and was one of the largest producers of cooking equipment in the greater Philadelphia area. They distributed there ranges across the nation and overseas. The quality brand ranges were recognized by the industry for their graceful design innovative features and dependability. They dominated the stove manufacturing industry in the region. As one of Hatboro's largest employers and most important industries Roberts and Mandor contributed to the evolution of the borough from its rural origins to a thriving commercial center. In 2010 the stove works complex was converted into an award winning residential community called the Hatboro lofts. Erected by The Millbrook Society.
