Vermont native who led the Second Vermont Brigade at the Battle of Gettysburg. He led the flank attack the helped to stop Pickett's Charge. He latter lost his arm storming Fort Harrison outside Richmond, VA. "Sleep Soldier, Sleep, Thy Battles All Are O'er."
