NEUTRAL
Agriculture/Pasture Association
Fallon, United States
NAS Fallon is located in the Carson Desert of the Great Basin. Urbanization and agriculture have eliminated large portions of the original vegetation. Agriculture-pasture lands are dominated by non-native plant species; plants that were introduced by people on purpose or by accident. This plant community, primarily a single agricultural crop like alfalfa, lacks the variety of plants found in most natural areas. However, the presence of water and moist soil creates a situation that is beneficial to many wildlife species.
