Once, the potters dug up clay from the streets of Sorring. At that time the number of potters in the town was very high. Pottery, and clay, from Sorring was famous far and wide and even the famous artist Asger Jorn has worked at Sorring Lervarefabrik. Today, Sorring Lervarefabrik is the only potter left in Sorring but their products are famous as they have been for more than 200 years.
