Dysert O'Dea Castle Museum

This castle was built by 1480 by Diarmuid O'Dea as the O'Dea clan stronghold. The castle was held by O'Deas until 1691. In 1970, the castle was bought by U.S. descendants of tho O'Dea clan. The Dysert O'Dea Development Association started restoration works on the castle in 1986 and made it the Clare Archaelogy Centre.
