Connaught Road Post Office

The Connaught Road Post Office was planned for closure in 2007. However, the local community would not accept this and formed an action group to protect the post office: SCORPiON (Save Connaught Road Post Office Now). The campaign was a triumph, the post office is still running successfully, and the frontage shows the proprietor with a copy of the newspaper headline showing that the post office was saved.
